Mount Nejireme (捩目山, Nejireme-yama) is a mountain in Shiga prefecture and the location of the Gyūki Clan's base. In the anime, people refer to it as Umerakuen (梅楽園, lit. "paradise of plum blossoms") in an attempt to dispel rumors of a vicious man-eating creature living there. It is the place where Umewakamaru was originally killed, and as such there are numerous memorials erected in his honor along the mountainside.
