Meikyō Shisui (明鏡止水, Soul Mirror, Deadly Water) is a hatsu technique that makes the enemy unaware of the user presence even if they were looking straight at him; this allows him to shift himself towards the enemies blind spot. If the users fear is cut, then the technique is dissipated.

Usage Edit

Meikyō Shisui Usage

Usage of Meikyō Shisui

The user uses his fear to shift himself in a blind spot. This technique is mean to concentrate on their fear which they must stay calm. When the user is using this technique he vanish but his fear is still sensed by other and attack his opponents in close-range. If the user is breaking his concentration or his fear is cut through by his enemies, then the user's fear will be broken with that the technique is dissipated.

Influence Edit

The name of the technique might come from the Kendō technique of the same name. According to the sport, the name "Meikyō" means: "A clear mirror" and "Shisui" means "The water that is not moving". The technique is also seems to be based on the kendō technique, known of the kendō version that you must have your mind clear to perform with a "Shikai", if your mind isn't clear then you are thinking about evil things. With other words the participant must have a peaceful mind. The technique in Nurarihyon no Mago stated that if his fear is cut the technique is dissipated, which is the same as the kendō technique.
