History[]

Four hundred years ago, during Nurarihyon's prime, Karasu Tengu appeared as a much larger anthropomorphic crow and fought on the front lines. In the anime, he fought against Gyūki when the Nura Clan and the Gyūki Clan clashed prior to the latter becoming part of the former. During the battle with Hagoromo Gitsune's forces at Osaka Castle, he faced Kyōkotsu, but their battle ended with no winner when Nurarihyon defeated Hagoromo Gitsune and her forces lost their reason to fight.

Shikoku Arc[]

After Nurarihyon disappears to travel to Shikoku, Karasu Tengu spends most of his time flying throughout Ukiyoe Town in tears searching for him. In the anime, Karasu Tengu also forces Gozumaru and Mezumaru to help out in this endeavor. He later takes part in the battle against the Shikoku Hachijūhakki Yakō, though he is only shown giving orders and not actually fighting.
