Ara first appeared in Nurarihyon no Mago Act 149 along with Kiyoemon and the other students in Yamabuki Otome's class during the Edo Period. Her name was not mention until Act 156 extra story, Nurarihyon's Bride. Ara is either a doppelganger of Kana Ienaga or her ancestor.
